talent show
Our Ward's Primary planned a Talent Show on June 3 in order to give service to the elderly in our ward by providing an evening of entertainment. Of course I knew CJ would love to participate. The last talent show he was a part of he sang. So this time we decided he should try something different - so he played the piano. CJ hasn't had any piano lessons but he loves to play by ear and have people help him figure out notes. He played "Follow the Prophet" three times (top hand only, however using two hands). The first time through he played the song normal. The second time he used different keys - something he figured out and taught him self. And the last time he played both hands together - one playing the normal way and the other hand playing a few keys lower. It really does sound pretty awesome together. And he did an AWESOME job!
CD isn't much for performing in front of groups, but we did convince her to "dance" on the stage with the other 4-5 year old girls. They were asked to do a dance all together so that they could participate in the talent show too. I put "dance" in quotations because CD really didn't dance. She stood there acting shy most of the time. She did turn a few turns though. She loved the thought of being up on stage and she really was cute doing her little jig. ;0)
