one year

Yesterday we celebrated LM's first birthday!  It is hard to imagine that it has already been a whole year since LM entered our lives unexpectedly.  She has come a long way since her humble beginnings at only 2lbs 14oz.  Here are few "new" things about our little one:
     ~ She is now sitting up!  She still prefers to be on the floor where she can get around on her own, but she can sit up on her own for short amounts of time.  This is a skill she is still working on.  ;0)
     ~ She is also eating more and more "real" foods.  She has tried bread, pasta, rice, beans, peas, carrots, broccoli, crackers, cereal, cantaloupe, and of course chocolate cake for her birthday!

We had a little birthday party for LM inviting only family.  We still had a house full though.  She had lots of help opening all her presents thanks to her own sister and cousins.  I think overall LM really enjoyed her birthday - especially her new toys and her cake!
