hair twirling trauma

Our little princess has an unfortunate, bad habit - hair twirling. This is something she does when she is tired. It used to be cute. Now it is a problem. She twirls and twirls and twirls until she has made a knot. Two times this last week she had twirled enough that the knots had to be removed with scissors. So today we had to go get her another haircut. The new shorter look is very cute on her. I'm just afraid it still isn't going to be short enough to keep her from twirling and knotting her hair. She just might always have to sport short hair now. Only time will tell. So here is a before picture. The mess in the front is a knot.


And here is the new look. Lately it has been difficult to take a decent picture of her too. As soon as she sees the camera she charges it saying "cheese". So every picture of her is very up close and personal, and usually not the cutest. This angle shows just how short it is anyway.

Daddy hasn't seen the new look yet. Hopefully he won't be too upset! We really didn't have much of a choice though.
