So we had quite a busy weekend and it all started on Thursday. On Thursday we celebrated my 28th birthday by ordering a Cold Stone ice cream cake (sooo yummy!) and inviting my brother Clint and his girlfriend over to have some and play games. But the celebrating didn’t end there.

Friday morning CD went to her first gymnastics class and did pretty good. Hopefully with time she will get more comfortable and confident. The gymnastics is to help CD learn how to balance and just for muscle strengthening. Friday night Parker’s took us out to eat at Olive Garden and then we opened my presents. After dinner we invited our friends Josh and Trisha over to have some of my Cold Stone cake and to play games. Cake and games happened after the kids were in bed. We had fun playing Mario Cart on the N64, some speed SkipBo (the only way to play), and Pit. It was a lot of fun with lots of laughter.Saturday I continued celebrating my birthday by going on a shopping spree. Jon was kind enough to offer to babysit while I went to spend my birthday money. I invited Trisha to go with me. It was a lot of fun to have a girls day out. While Jon was babysitting he also helped his brother-in-law install new lights in our kitchen. You wouldn’t believe how much brighter our kitchen is! And I couldn’t believe how dirty it was! To top off our Saturday we watched the Aggie football game with Josh and Trisha. Poor Aggies, the Utes stomped them - but that was to be expected.
Sunday we ended the birthday festivities at Parker’s house by having birthday cake once again. But this time the cake was for Jon’s niece too. So it was more of her celebration than mine (but my name was on the cake too).
So anyway, we had quite a busy weekend with lots of fun. And today it was back to life as usual - work for Jon, and kids, laundry, babysitting and much more for me!
